The benefits of consuming magnesium is numerous. A daily amount of 100 to 350 mg of magnesium, which varies based on individual diet and exercise and needs can support many essential body functions. Magnesium is an essential macromineral that is not naturally produced in the body. When consumed in foods such as leafy greens, cashews, almonds, squash, broccoli, coffee, chocolate, meat, cardiovascular system, blood pressure, and cholesterol production is supported. Magnesium even functions like an electrolyte maintaining fluid levels in the body. Stress and coping responses are supported with this mineral as well. Magnesium may help to prevent bone loss and helps to transport calcium, potassium, and other minerals for muscles and heart rhythm.

Life often is very busy, so getting good rest is important. There are important suggestions for you to consider if you would like to create a relaxing environment for your sleep. These include:
Having a healthy snack can help to manage your blood sugar well so you don't go too low or too high with your blood sugar levels.
Signs of low blood sugar include brain fog, difficulty concentrating, impatience, nervousness, heart palpitations, excess sweating, light headednesss, nausea, fatigue, or moodiness. A high blood sugar reaction may include hyper-anxiousness, increased thirst, headaches, or feeling as though you are bouncing off the walls. If you experience either of these types of reactions, then try a healthy snack or please call your doctor.
Here are some suggestions for healthy snacks!

The Blood Sugar Roller Coaster occurs from the intake of sugar or caffeine and then the quick depletion of that energy source until you consume more sugar or caffeine from a sugar craving only to experience a sugar crash again. In order to balance your blood sugar, try monitoring your intake of carbohydrates, proteins, and water and adjust accordingly. If you start to feel light headed or dizzy, have a healthy snack! An example of a healthy snack may be an apple with peanut butter, carrots and hummus, or low fat part skim mozzarella cheese. Other snacks with healthy fats include almonds and avocado. Water is nourishment for our body. We should try to drink half our body weight in fluid ounces of water. Therefore, for example, a 150 pound individual, should try to drink 75 ounces of water. If a cup is equal to 8 ounces, then that is almost 10 cups of water! Sometimes just replacing sugary beverages with water is a good start and some water is better than nothing. Try lemon in your water after letting a bottle of water air to remove excess chlorine. Try a fancy cup to encourage yourself to drink more water as needed!
