Hello! Health and wellness are an important part of my everyday life as a nursing student. I practice yoga, mindfulness, reading self help books, and love to cook! I have worked with the communities of children of all ages, mental health in teens and young adults, and the autism community. I am going to be pursuing Labor and Delivery nursing and have a strong passion for women’s health. I will be graduating with my BSN in May '21.
Lead Public Health Support Staff: Jamara Griffin
Jamara is a Hardworking Health Educator passionate about improving individual and community health through education and public awareness. Her passion within in the health field includes Parental Child Health Education, Nutrition Education, Chronic Disease Prevention, and Healthy Relationships. Jamara Griffin’s accomplishments include (published by iuniverse) a children's health book entitled Healthy Adventures with Kayla in 2019. The book promotes healthy eating and health advocacy for children. She is a recent graduate of a public health degree program. Jamara Griffin’s overall goal is to influence and encourage individuals on adapting healthy behaviors.

I'm a warm, friendly, compassionate individual who is an active listener.
My education and experience is from formal coursework and employment in university research settings, hospital clinics, and academic adjunct teaching including in medical anthropology to include diverse perspectives.

Lead Health Coach/Yoga Instructor: Melinda Janofsky.
Melinda has always had a connection to movement, starting with dance at age 7 and continuing through adulthood. She loves how music and movement connect energy and emotion. She feels that yoga was a progression for her to look inward and reevaluate where life was taking her. She loves the calm and balance that is felt after a class no matter what style of yoga practiced. She offers an intention at the beginning of class to set the tone and to start her students on a journey of personal growth. Learning something new about yourself every day is motivating and inspiring. Her favorite classes to teach incorporate meditation, giving the body and mind a chance to connect through breath. She received her 200 hr training with Lifetime Fitness in 2014 and 300 hr in 2017 with a focus on the use of Therapeutics in Yoga.
Lead Health Coach/Nutrition & Fitness Instructor: Briana Mckoy-Gilchrist.
Briana is a former Paralegal who gained a passion for Health and Fitness. “After being diagnosed with Gastritis and Acid Reflux, I realized that I needed to change my eating choices and include more physical activity in my life. I started from the bottom and transformed myself into a phenomenal Health and Wellness Coach and a Motivator. I assist with enhancing the lifestyles of individuals through health, fitness, and a positive mindset. My general areas are Nutrition, Gut Health, Detoxification, and Fitness. I provide a step by step action plan for individuals who are struggling with their health and fitness goals through motivational and physical support. My Health and Wellness education background, personal growth experiences, and my passion for helping our community qualifies me to get you the results that you deserve.”
Lead Nutrition Coach & Parent/Youth Support: Nikita Jackson
Nikita has 25 years in training and teaching on leadership and organizational management and 14 of those years as a caregiver to her mother and health advocate for Sickle Cell Disease, blending her leadership and experience as a small business owner, health coach, and author.
She is a graduate of Legacy Holistic Health Institute (LHHI) and is trained to use evidence-based holistic methods to provide supportive mentoring to individuals and groups seeking to transition to a healthy lifestyle.
She is the founder and creative owner of Tastefullydone Hometique – an online lifestyle and specialty boutique offering holistic coaching services and body, aromatherapy, and grooming products to women and men. She supports individualized coaching for women and men to identify and clarify health and wellness goals through customized action plans.
