We will utilize PEDS QL from https://www.pedsql.org/ for a valid and reliable assessment tool.
We will request IRB approval to apply to education settings for referral and resources after teachers and students and parents complete the assessment twice per semester to track mental health and physical health symptoms across time for both Preschool going families who also have children in preschool with older siblings, and Middle School and High School attending families.
The opportunity for group reporting rather than by an individual can still lead to choices for a classroom, and for parents, school nurses, teachers, and students to be offered intervention opportunities and resources lists, when symptoms of mental health and or physical health needs are identified. Parents, Teachers and policy makers can then decide if this is an endeavor that can be completed routinely in home rooms twice per semester to track wellness alongside of public health, school based health center recommendations.
